Writing the perfect song.

Every artist and creator is on the same eternal quest. The quest to write the perfect song.

Or paint the perfect picture. Or pen the perfect poem.

For Wandering South, the perfect song is one that celebrates life.

It's a song that captures the feelings that words aren’t enough for.

A song that you can’t help singing along with or tapping your feet to.

A song that's unapologetically earnest and sincere.

A song that draws you in, and fills you with hope and possibility.

A song that can elicit either unbridled joy or sweet melancholy.

A song that recognizes how lucky we are to draw breath one more day in this incredible universe.

For us, the perfect song is also inspired by the inseparable sounds and spirit of the American south.

A spirit of openness and inclusion, where people of all colors and creeds have come together to make music that's greater than the sum of its parts.

A spirit reflected in the sounds and styles of the south's signature instrument

The perfect song brings us all together and leaves no one out.

The perfect song is one we sing with each other, for each other.

It’s a song for every voice, for every time we’re together.

We know that the perfect song will never be written.

Which means we get to never stop trying to write it.

And it’s the trying that matters.

Also, the perfect song must have a banjo.
